Well the day has finally come. Actually, I dunno the exact day it was announced, but Cazal has finally begun to launch its Legends line of vintage sunglasses. I have been a Cazal Eyewear lover since 1999, when I first laid eyes on the 904. The 904 is my idea of the perfect pair of shades. The design is pretty 80′s, but with a timeless and crisp geometry that is all business and super-radical at the same time. You can wear the 904′s with a business suit or with surf shorts, but rest assured you will always look like a badass. So I was pretty excited to hear that Cazal will re-release the 904 as part of its Legends line, but I’m still not sure why the prices seem to be the same as the vintage pairs.

Here is a preview of some new print work I am working on. This is a phrase made famous by our friend George. There’s a first part of the phrase that will be added, but you will have to stay tuned to find out what it says! This lettering style was inspired by the work of one of my favorite graphic design collectives, The Zonders.

The Zonders has done work for some of the best artists, electro producers and DJs from Europe. The lettering is in a style that can only be done by hand. I used a TOMBO brush marker and went through over 30 pages of marker paper before I got the perfect one, But I am super-stoked with how it came out. I’m hoping to create a font using this style, so we will see how that goes.
