Poly Chair

The poly chair was my first real piece of furniture that I designed and built while studying at RISD. The folded forms of the chair are derivative of a folding cardboard chair I had designed the year before. I aimed to simplify the forms into only folded sheet and bold lines with no visible fasteners. This version was constructed with bent and welded tubular steel and polypropylene sheet, routered and folded.
